@EA_Blueberry Will the free download on EA Play work on next gen systems as a next gen game? Or will the trial version prevent it from working (as it does now with disc versions)?

Yes.
The full game should work as others have confirmed they couldn't play the Trial version but once they purchased the full version it was fine.

I understand and it was difficult to see throughout the year players were not able to access the Play First Trial for this game. Seeing that the full game will be released next week, there is no need to address the 10 hour Play First Trial since it will be the full game released. The team attempted to address this issue throughout the year and it posed to be more difficult than expected, which we regretfully apologize for not delivering on your expectations.
If you have any concerns about the value you received out of your EA Play membership and you're on Xbox or PlayStation, please contact their Support teams for any personal requests for compensation or refunds as our EA staff does not have access to Microsoft/Sony accounts nor their billing system in order to make changes. We're excited for the release of Madden NFL 21 into the Play List and I can't wait to have you all join us on the field next week, although it wasn't ideal to wait this long to experience it, I guarantee you it will be worth the wait.

See you on the gridiron! - arv9704 years agoRising Rookie@EA_Blueberry I understand the tech team was unable to resolve the bug, but how is this an acceptable resolution? Why were the affected gamers not given some alternative solution, such as the full version of game, or even updates on the status of the ticket throughout the year? Purely from a metrics standpoint, a ticket opened this long and the accompanying customer service associated with it has been nothing short of a failure to deliver on products we paid for. Pure neglect to go an entire game cycle without a resolution or reasonable customer service.
