Summarize your bug After breaking every passing record and getting to a 98 overall in season 1, I demanded release and it forced my retirement and gave me no options for signing with another team. what a waste of damn time this mode is why I bought the game and it's a complete joke that this happened. Hard to go back and do it again when I spend all that time on one season just to get screwed. Absolute joke that this game is $60+ and still has such major bugs. A second year quarterback with the 99 overall would never be forced to retire even if he was accused of murder in the real NFL, cannot state how much of a joke this game is and how little effort is put into developing it for the amount you rake in.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Considering it's complained about all over the internet it should be fixed already. EA is a joke establishment and needs real competition in the NFL arena which is obvious by their lack of fixing issues for years and years and years.
What happens when the bug occurs? I demanded my release in my first off season and was forced to retire as a 98 overall quarterback going into his second year.
What do you expect to see? I want the experience points so I don't have to go through the entire first season again what a waste of time it was just for that to happen. And maybe you know, try fixing the bug? I am sure you have plenty of developers in bright minds that could take care of this not sure why it wouldn't have been already considering how many threads there are with this issue.

It's reported all over the internet. you demand you release in most times it forces you to retire even if the situation is so ridiculous and would never happen in the NFL. A 98 overall quarterback going into a second year would never be forced to retire, he would get signed, heck even with a checkered history he would get signed. Michael freaking Vick went to prison for a couple years and still got signed this is ridiculous and a huge disappointing waste of time that will probably keep me from spending my money on next year's.
