Update regarding X-Factor Abilities and Superstar Abilities on Offensive Linemen

Hey Madden Ultimate Team Community,

Back in July, we put out a Gridiron Notes that highlighted X-Factors and Superstar Ability Requirements and how they would work in Madden Ultimate Team. This article highlighted information on the unlock requirements for player items that were currently in game.

As game content has progressed and new abilities have been introduced into Madden, we have put out additional information and tried to clarify how X-Factors and Superstar Ability unlock requirements work through the Gridiron Notes. We are exploring ways to provide more clarification in game as we know that not all players use social media or visit the EA Forums.

We have seen recently that players were confused on why Offensive Linemen were not getting Tier 2 abilities based on the information in the July 22nd Gridiron Notes. Please note that Offensive Linemen Abilities were not introduced into Madden and Madden Ultimate Team until the August Title Update. We did not highlight this information in the Title Update notes and simply updated the spreadsheet requirements, but the Tier Levels for Offensive Linemen Abilities are as follows:

• At 85 OVR, the Tier 1 bucket becomes available
• At 90 OVR, the Tier 2 bucket becomes available

The Madden Ultimate Team will continue to find ways to highlight this information in game in the future, but for the time being, we will provide these type of updates on the EA Forums.
