Why does Origin open everytime I start Madden20?

I have the app option turned off so that Origin doesn't start everytime that I start Madden 20. I thought one of the options was that you didn't need to have Origin running in order to play off line?...

    @simeurocat 

    Origin is required to run the game because it acts as the launcher client, even if you have to play offline.
