Why is Next Gen not being brought to PC for Madden 22?

@EA_BlueberryThe whole game was programmed on PCs....you literally have to delete things, to not have on PCs anymore.

@EA_Blueberry It really does suck that you gotta take the brunt of the heat for this. I, along with many others, are very frustrated that no Next Gen features are coming to PC. Countless community members including Youtubers that are game changers, reddit users, and other forum members are confused by this since current PC specs are more than enough for it. While I thank you for relaying this info up to your higher ups, please do keep us informed on changes. I will purchase the game if the next gen features are brought to the game, even if that means in a mid season update like Madden 21 got on next gen consoles. This decision to cut content from the PC community is only going to hurt the sales of the game on this platform over time.

As others have stated this isn't personal for you @EA_Blueberry and EA was making some great strides on the PC front.

There was one major thing missing heading into Madden NFL 21 and that was a lack of crossplay. Had there been crossplay I would have been ecstatic, instead in order to play with most of my buddies I had to purchase the game for console. That was strike 1.

Strikes 2&3 is this abomination of giving fully capable hardware a lackluster experience. My gaming rig has been running PS5 level quality for 3 years now and yet it won't be given the Next Gen experience. This was a calculated call by higher ups in EA that decided they don't like giving the game away to EA Play Pro subscribers and would rather push for everyone to buy the game on console.

Well instead you won't get me buying this on console this year as I did last year even though I shouldn't have had to. But on top of it I have cancelled my EA Play Pro sub. I have no plans to support ANY EA game until we get cross play in applicable titles and the PC version of Madden receives the same treatment as the current gen consoles... yes they are now the current gen, not next gen.

@EA_BlueberrySo basically EA doesn't care that most of the fans still only have current gen systems or PCs, and those fans are going to be stuck with a Madden 22 that is more similar to Madden 21 than the actual Madden 22 version when it comes to presentation, gameplay, and stats? I understand it on the previous consoles, but I happen to know that all you would have to do is port the next gen version to the PC. Like I mentioned in my initial post that was moved here. Offer both versions on PC if you are worried people won't be able to run the next gen version on their PCs and offer downgrades if the next gen version doesn't work.

Make it happen...I just want the real Madden 22 experience and not the watered down version of Madden 22 that PC and current gen are getting and haven't even seen yet in the trailers and deep dives. Like I said, don't end up like Cyberpunk 2077 did

The problem I have with this answer is that the cards being used in the new consoles are comparable to the cards most gamers are using. Going on from that point every single game being made is on a PC first in whatever game engine the developers choose to use and then extrapolated to the client's desired platform. The assets they are using are being generated on GPU's similar to that of what most gamers are using. The exception is for the art teams who are using the pro series of cards that prioritize rendering and computational power versus making things pretty. Please express the true feelings of the PC community we waited long enough for the game to finally return to PC only to be shafted when the Next-gen update came out for 21 and then completely stabbed when 22 decided not to be next gen for Madden and Fifa.

I cant believe I was duped into buying this game. You guys continue to disappoint your customers with absolutely head scratching decisions. Your answers are literally just "get me through this question" answers and provide little to no substance. All you are doing is pushing the ball down the road until eventually someone else can make a public statement saying were not getting anything until Madden 23 in which time you will basically just release a face lifted next gen madden 22 to us as Madden 23 and expect us to be happy. Literally the worst company ever to make video games.
