Why is Next Gen not being brought to PC for Madden 22?

@jimmarshall I recently got into PC gaming because it suits me a thousand times more than consoles. I've been a Sony guy for a while but I gave up on them as a company. I do own a ps5, madden and nba 2k are games I purchase every year, but I'm sitting this one out. I can't do it. These games would've looked very good on my PC and display. I'm not happy with these 2 companies. I'm a bit of a nerd, but the list of companies that I choose to no longer support is growing. Samsung, Sony, ea, take two. I'm stubborn man I won't get battlefield or anything. Sick of these corpo(cyberpunk term) greedy companies that lose touch with reality

@CBlan1224 sir, I am with you completely. the stuff they tell us is so maddening. like we cannot see through it. I would have more respect if they just would say "EA made a deal with the two companies to put next gen features in their consoles only. and the NFL won't allow us to put many features in Franchise Mode that we would like to." but all these....and it's not the EA community people at all. they take the brunt of our anger without being able to make any changes to the product. it must be extremely difficult to work for a company that treats them like this. they are players too.

but out money is wasted year in and year out. very frustrating.

@jimmarshall right. How long are we going to keep calling these things next gen..its friggen zen 2! Anyway, whatever. Lots of good games coming up for PC. Just would've been nice to play madden in 4k with a decent frame rate

@CBlan1224 I agree with you completely. playing a game that has had thesame graphics for How long?.....and no changes to gameplay or franchise has reach the breaking point. I'm there. and the most maddening thing?

@jimmarshall I just saw your post about MUT vs franchise.
EA makes us feel like we are a dying breed for wanting to play franchise.
It is by far the least creative game mode of any game that I play/have played in the last..I don't know how many years.
It is so lifeless.
I saw madden's rating on twitch recently. HAHA.

Some of us just love the game of football, and want to immerse ourselves in an experience with/without our friends. I don't have a problem with the gameplay this year. It was actually quite nice when I played the ea trial on ps5. Rb's actually dodge lineman, and it seems more natural. But everything else is lifeless. Next gen stats is not implemented correctly. The whole GameDay thing is a step in the right direction..so that's on the field..what about off the field? They have a coaching skill tree that is so easy and basic. There is no real consequence to any decision..ever. face of the franchise is a joke. I mean it is the poorest excuse....
Anyway. And that's all next gen too. Imagine not even having access to half of the generic 1080p b/s lifeless cutscenes..or the next gen stats that read 22.0mph no matter who the player is.

MUT makes up over 50% of EA's entire revenue(not ea sports...EA as a whole!)
People are spending tons of money on these modes, and ruining it for the rest of us. Just like people spending $3,000 on gpus.
At least the gpu manufacturers have some competition(let's go Intel. Don't let big green get complaicent)

Sorry for the rant. I really would enjoy a good football game. Gone are the days where we have blitz the league: 2 level immersion.

Nba2k does a decent job only because they found a way to monetize it. Mlb the show is also in dire need of..something different.

@CBlan1224 you have perfectly illustrated why so many are now talking about giving Madden and FIFA up for good. business people run this company, not people with the passion for gaming who want to make the very best titles every year, including Madden. Madden was an EVENT 20 years ago. we wanted to play Madden more than watching the opening Sunday of football. but now? the effort put into Madden is now at such a sorry state that many now refuse to put one more dime into it.

but you can't say anything to EA or the NFL because of the numbers you stated. as long as these people keep buying Madden for MUT and MUT only, franchise mode will get worse and worse. the only thing that talks?

Money. Or lack thereof.
