Hi there! We're not aware of any plans for adding cross-play, but we'll make sure the team is aware of the interest. Thanks!
- @ZPitz123 I agree they really need this
I would buy the game if I could play with my friend.
Add crossplay. Takes way too long to find a game at off peak hours.
True that. Was hoping they would this year. I'm obviously still a minority, but I'm not buying another Madden until they feature cross play.

LOL, I can actually answer this. Andrew Wilson (CEO of EA) wanted Crossplay years ago, but the Frostbite engine is extremely difficult to work with, and sadly they make most of their games on the thing, it's biting them in the a** already, stuff like BFV basically died because it went up against COD: Warzone (Crossplay).
There's a lot of internal struggle in EA too, because they decided to use Frostbite for everything, it's become hard for the few dudes who maintain the engine to support everything, too many meals, not enough cooks, Frostbite ain't like Unreal where you can get subject matter experts off the streets, Frostbite is super niche and specialized, so if a bus runs over a senior Frostbite dev, you've got big problems (This happens in Software Development, believe me. - not the bus part, but losing key people and not being able to replace / add more of them on account of the software being so God damned specialized.)
Only EA title with Crossplay possible right now is Apex, but that's because they DONT use Frostbite, haha.
Believe me, if these cats could implement Crossplay, it would have been done years ago already, they literally can't.
If EA offered me $400k a year right now to work on Frostbite, I'd decline, why? Nobody else uses this thing, it's a useless skillset if EA ever drops it.
Andrew got lucky with his casino ideas, but apart from that, dude's got nothing on Activision.
