EA Staff (Retired)Always check whether you can access online modes of other games and check PlayStation Network server status here: https://status.playstation.com/en-us/
Additionally I would advise to reset your router, restart your console and Sign in to your PlayStation Network account again.

If your online status is connected and updated software, I found that making sure the clock is set to the Internet makes it work. The time has to be correct on the system
