We are aware of some Madden NFL 22 players on Xbox Series X experiencing a full console shutdown crash during gameplay. Based on our active investigation with Microsoft, this crashing is caused by a system issue which is also impacting FIFA, Battlefield 2042, and NBA2k players.
An optional update targeted to resolve related crashing issues will be available to all Xbox Series X players starting November 17, and as mandatory update on November 23.
If you notice you are experiencing these crashes, you can already download this update in the OMEGA Ring as part of the Xbox Insider Program, here.
This is awesome news, hopefully this solution works. Recently I have had some success actually playing Madden 22 (Series X), getting a few games in before a shutdown but there's also been days where I can't get past the 3rd quarter before shutdown.

Today’s Xbox console OS update (build 2111) has fixes reducing console shutdowns and improving stability of Xbox Series X consoles when playing titles such as NBA 2K22, FIFA 22, and Battlefield 2042.
