@fjpv059el 1) probably played a regular season mode. go to solo, then to season, select kickoff season, then grind to get it done before it expires.
2) to fix the crashing issue you will have to delete and reinstall. BEFORE DELETING go to settings and screenshot you user id number. also I have mine linked to facebook. this is so if you ever have an issue recovering your account you will actually be able to.
