Ok so here’s what the deal is:
Go to your Lineup and add or bench players with the corresponding number of total you want to play the next Tournament. Save it!
It will default back to your current Lineup, but when the new game begins it will start with the updated settings!
If you continue to have these issues, tag @EA_Blueberry as he’s one of the many Admin’s who can either help you or send it up to EA! He’s my assigned go to guy and he’s great at helping you and an overall good human being!!! Tell him I said so!! Haha

Also, for some reason if EA can’t find a similar League opponent with the same number of players it will change the number of players you chose, which as a League Commissioner of my League it drives me CRAZY!!!
Who knows the mind of EA and their lack of communication to the players especially in App!

The communication has been especially bad since the whole Lvl spin thing started. There was no real explanation of what they were doing or how it was going to work. Then it was messed up and people couldn't get in. Then they reverted without really announcing it and matches were starting at weird times. It's been a mess lately. That was also when we started getting the bad matchups and 4-5 teams dropped each LvL. Our guys at the bottom are getting ticked they don't get to play.
We need some answers about this issue and what's being done. LvL is such a huge part of the game and this is really messing with our leagues. If I could just find out if it's capping at the number shown (20 in our case) or including the number we have available that would at least help for now so we can make decisions.
- @lkbroach BTW, we've been doing this but it still shows 20 as the number it is searching for instead of 22. So are you saying that even though you can't change the number at the top it's still searching for a match for the 22 we have available?
It sux but only EA or an Admin can help!

That did not work, but thanks @lkbroach . @EA_Blueberry anything you can do to help escalate this would be suuuweeet! I know EA was working on updating the League vs League tournament matching system, but it seems to have gotten worse. Not sure when it happened, but now our Search defaults to 23 players no matter what we do and still drops players here and there. We have 25 active to play, but it gives us only max of 23, often less (20v20, 21v21, etc.)

Just to clarify in case @EA_Blueberry looks at this, at least for our league I understand that it can't always find a match equal to the number we have available. We've had the system drop players to make a match in the past (though not as frequently as it is doing now). My concern is that on the lineup screen where you have the number at the top that you adjust for the search it is locked and will not change. Ours is locked at 20 even though we have 23 currently listed as available. Also when you go to the LvL screen before it searches you are supposed to be able to adjust the number of available players for the search and it won't change there either. So my question right now is whether the system is actually looking for a match for the 23 we have marked available (and dropping 5 players like it did today and yesterday)? Or is it searching for a 20 team match and dropping 2 from that list?
I change my players on the Lineup Screen at the lower right in Leagues. You add/drop players there then set the number and SAVE it.
It Will default back to what you currently have in game but when it starts backup it uses the Lineup you saved!

@EA_Blueberryand @lkbroach , I went back and looked. We did somehow manage a 25 vs 25 one time. Not sure how. Rest of the time it resets to 23 after I save for number needed. Other than that one time we have been getting max 23 (sometimes less when system drops players to match).

Do you know if the teams that were dropped from your search results didn't play their matches from the previous league match? I'll reach out to confirm about the functionality for it, but I'm under the impression it will change it up if the system couldn't find a match with the current team setting you have selected. - @EA_Blueberry The dropping of players to match has been an ongoing thing and doesn't appear to have anything to do with players who didn't play. The current newer issue has nothing to do with playing or not, it is just stuck on 23 for my league search settings. I change it to number of AVAILABLE players and SAVE. Back out of it. When I go back in, it goes back to 23. I tried @lkbroach approach of saving and not going back in. I don't believe that works either, except we did get 25 vs 25 one time as shown in my screenshot. I think the number 23 comes from the number we had when the search function was modified to improve by EA.
I only go back in to confirm my settings and when I do it still shows the current lineup but yeah I haven’t had your issues!

Found out there is indeed a bug with this where eligible teams are not being included in your team amount setting which explains why it keeps reverting. They plan on putting out a fix for this.

Hey All!
We are going to begin implementing the Universal Spin Time. We will be disabling matchmaking tomorrow around 10 AM ET, so all tournaments will be complete by Wednesday at 12 PM ET. LvL will then restart at that time with the singular spin.
@EA_Blueberry Sorry for not responding and being out yesterday. Appreciate your responses. At least we know there's a glitch and they know about it.
We have the exact same thing @schonk72 was showing in the screen grabs. Ours is just locked at 20 instead of 23. In reference to your question about the people dropped being ones who missed the last LvL: We pull those people from the active lineup before the next LvL so only people who played have been expected to be in the next match.
My thing here hasn't been that people get dropped actually. It does seem that since they started the change to universal spin that we have teams get dropped on a daily basis compared to the matches we used to get before. Honestly after they made the change we also started getting a larger number of Top 50 matchups instead of around our level (350-400). The concern I have is that if it is only searching for a 20 person match when we have 23 available and then drops 2-4 people to make a match (LvL ends up being with a league with 16-18 players) then we've lost up to 7 teams that day. Since we have our lineup by OVR a lot of the people at the bottom of the list have been talking about finding another league because they don't get to play. We're adjusting to rotate them in but honestly it's a situation where it's not the league's fault that this is happening to them as much as EA not looking into this quicker and fixing it.

- @MoodyBlues528 agree. the first go at Universal Spin was supposed to fix the mismatch issues and balance out which leagues played each other. It actually didn't fix that and now we have Search setting for number of teams locked at less than what we have available AND dropping teams beyond that to match us more often with top leagues. @EA_Blueberry hopefully this updated UST will fix all these problems, but if you could poke the powers that be to see if that was included in the update, would be appreciated.
@EA_Blueberrywell, we broke the 23 lock, it seems, even though the Search was still reverting to 23 from the 27 I saved. Did still drop 2 teams to match us, but definitely better than limiting to 23 and dropping. Hopeful.
- @schonk72 We had the same thing today. The number is still stuck at 20 but it seems to have searched for a match equal to our active list. It included all 23 in the LvL.
Blue, I have a suggestion when they put a notice in game like they did on League matchups can they leave it up so we can refer back to it? I’m brain dead and know they had an explanation but can’t remember what it was!
Just another of my crazy ideas/suggestions!
Our League has the same issues consistently regarding miss matches! They drop our members to lineup with other League counts then we draw top 150+!
We finally broke the 1,000 rank barrier and did go as low or high as 947 but then we drew the top 150+ again 3 times in a row!
My argument is that it’s not equitable and should be! We muddle through it and have dropped back out of the 1,000 again but hopefully the matching will give us more even Leagues to ours eventually!
I carry players who have low OVR’s but they play when in and for me it’s not always about winning but giving everyone an equal opportunity to play!

- @lkbroach Yep, we were just edging into top 300 and then whammo! we kept having players dropped to match against top 150 leagues several times in a row. The losses added up and we're now hovering in the just below 500 (495). We should beat this 305 league we're playing which will help, but...
