So, I feel compelled to update my last post here because I was finally able to get connected with a great specialist at EA who brought my case to an acceptable resolution. To recap, I lost 19 players when the auction house blew up about 2 months ago. I traded multiple emails with "first tier" support personnel but made no tangible progress on my claim. I finally scheduled a call back and was eventually connected with a specialist named John E. He could not immediately help with my claim, but took full ownership of my issue and was my only point of contact on the issue from that point forward. I think that was the hardest part of the battle - finding someone at EA who was committed to actually resolving the case. I want to give a big shout-out to John E. He handled things very well, especially given that he had no ability to fully investigate my concern. Apparently only a very small team of developers at EA can do that work at present, which likely explains the bottle-neck on these type of complaints. Hopefully EA will put more power in the hands of their specialists to resolve these cases moving forward - as it would save everyone a lot of time and headaches!
If if you want compensation for your losses, I would suggest that your best bet is to schedule a call back and be persistent about following up on your claim. In the end, I never got my players back, but John E was able to credit my account with a combination of coins and All-Pro packs that I feel exceeded the market value of what I lost.
Best set of luck to all who are still waiting on compensation. I hope you experience a result similar to mine! Thanks again for your help John E!

This issue still hasn't been resolved three month later and now the game will reset in three weeks. How with EA handle this situation moving into the next season. Will we be given the coin equivalent for the players when they were listed. Will we be given pro pack or season packs to made up for the lose of this content in the new season. Or will this continue to be "looked into" and potentially forgotten?
