You would be correct in saying that is not how it usually works. However, this season is different from the rest of the Field Passes since there is no end of the field pass tournaments anymore. The timers currently displayed in game are indeed correct. It is confirmed that the promo events end Friday @ 10:30 am ET, while sets for the promo remain open until June 18th.
Update: New KotH Masters and achievements were just revealed to be dropping tomorrow (Tuesday, June 8th) @ 10:30 am ET.
