Can't fire guns

I've been able to play the game fine for the last few weeks, but now my guns simply will not fire at all (PC version). I've tried it on the Geth Trooper with an Acolyte and a Cabal Vanguard with a Talon, neither of them will fire their guns but both can use their powers fine. They also cannot use their missile launchers because of this glitch.

I've also went into the single player and found that I cannot fire my guns there too, while I could before this glitch happened on multiplayer. I've tried repairing Mass Effect 3 through Origin but it's not helped in any way; the guns simply do not charge/fire. I've even tried having two weapons (a Disciple) on the character with the Acolyte, yet even swapping the weapons doesn't allow either to fire.

Any help is greatly appreciated, because right now I have to rely on others to use their missile launchers and cannot strip any shields. Thanks!

Go to your key bindings and assign primary weapon to left click, or reset all keys to default.

  • yep. MP game crashed and after re boot none of my weapons would work, but powers are fine.

removed all origion / ME3 programs & re installed.

    the same problem still exists.

    cannot figure it out.

  • 😕mileyembarrassed:i got it. as per solution. so obvious. i just go bury my head in sand.

  • THANK YOU. Thank you so much. You just saved me hours of sadness. <3

  • My weapon also will not fire... most of the time. There are times when it will, but the majority of the time it will not.

I did not test it in single player, but I did attempt to change my keybinding... as well as other keybindings and it will not let me change them. I restarted the game and it didn't fix it. At first I thought it was lag because I was watching Netflix at the same time. I am plugged in via ethernet, and there was no change when I turned off Netflix. I was also still able to effectively use my melee skill, and (at least when I played on xbox) that should not have worked well at all if I were truly lagging. I am going to attempt other fixes and test out single player, but I'm not so sure it will help.

  • Tried all the advice given, nothing works so i guess i'll uninstall this piece of crap and go and buy a real game..
