Cant use ingame voice chat
as the subject says, I cant use the ingame voice chat. Whenever I push the button to talk my voice icon does not change. It is blue NOT ORANGE. When I unplug the mic and plug it back in, the feedback causes the mic icon to light up but I still cannot speak to the other players. I am using a pair of x12 turtle beaches that is compatible with pc. I can talk in other games and in teamspeak, ventrillo, steam, ect but not in mass effect 3. I cant even communicate to my squadmate through origin because they are not in my friends list... this is sooo freakin frusterating...
My ingame settings are as follows:
Music volume: 100%
Sound Effects volume: 100%
Dialog volume: 100%
Dynamic Range: High
Voice mode: Push to talk
Force voice chat audio: On
Voice chat input device: Microphone (VIA High Definition Audio) <-----[Only available option}}
Voice chat output device: Speakers (VIA High Definition Audio) <----[I have two other SPDIF interface options for this but this option works as far as speakers go.}}
I really hope somebody can help me with this because I dont want to be the "weird quiet guy" in the room. I want to make mass effect 3 friends ☹️

Fix Windows 8.1: Go to desktop, right click speaker on the left side of your task bar, go to recording devices, select microphone, right click microphone, go to properties, adjust gain, test in lobby. (too many commas but who gives a "f word")
THIS SHOULD BE A FAQ
jus sayin.
ALSO, ORIGIN OVERLAY NEEDS A RECENT PLAYERS LIST AND A WAY TO MESSAGE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Offtopic)
