Cross platform progress sync?

If I've been playing on Xbox and I want to buy the PC version as well for playing away from home, will my multiplayer progress be synced to both versions or will they be separate?

    SInce the game is not "Play anywhere" I doubt you will have your progress synched. Most likely it will start completely blank since the accounts aren't the same. With play anywhere it will use your gamertag as the account on both platforms. I know from Gears of War it will share progress between xbox one and windows 10.

Is there hope that we will ever see progress transfer over platforms? Especially with the new consoles coming out people maybe have both for the exclusives but want the ability of hoping on which ever to continue ea progress.
