A few weeks ago there was a report about a virus that was installed in one of the sub-programs inside the Origin Game Client. The report went on to say that because of this virus a program would take control of whatever system that it was installed on. Has this been rectified or does the threat still exist.
I haven't heard anything about this, nor have I noticed anything awry with my game.
I would be interested to see if there is any merit here.
There isn't, and never was, such a problem.
There was some player who managed to foul-up her/his system and blamed the Origin client, "but that don't make it so..."
It would help if you linked the article. If for some reason you don't really know what your talking about and mean the exploit that was discovered where someone could theoretically take over your PC if you clicked on a malicous Origin link (which is something entirely different than a virus), this has been fixed with the latest Origin update, see here.
