I can work with honesty and differing opinions.....Sloane.
I can't deal well with backstabbing, double crossing and smooth lines that tell me what I want to hear...Reyes.
So I will pick Sloane, 99% of the time until story changes or I run a evil sneaky snake character.

Which is fair enough.
To me, he's not actually very good at being sneaky, so it's even more sad that she falls for such an obvious trap. I suppose I prefer someone who tries to be sneaky but I can see through than someone who is really that dumb and arrogant at the same time.
I mean the only reason people think he's sneaky is because it's so incredibly obvious really...too obvious.
I guess we all have our own tolerances and peeves 😉
Let's see, help the sneaky underhanded guy that helped you stop the murders in the port or help the person that exiles normal people for not paying her protection fees so they can be preyed upon by cannibals and every thug with a gun. Oh, and she's not the slightest bit thankful you helped track down the Kett killing people.
Seems like a simple and easy choice.

Hah, I hadn't even looked at it in that way, but yeah, good point.
- Protection fees from a government is called taxes...you usually go to jail for that too. And exile is jail for Kadara.
And how much death and trouble did Reyes set up to weaken Sloane? Yeah he helped you solve it...but already knew where they were....hmmm.
Sloane is a harda $$ but basically honest in her thoughts and direction of actions. She doesn't lead you around and play you to get her way.

She is an angry, angry woman. If she were the only thankless person in the game I would probably mind - but she is just one of many, many people on a very long list. Most of the other thankless idiots I don't even have the option to be snarky with.
If she called the protection fee a tax and instead of saying she's taking a cut of everything charged a tariff would you feel any differently? People had to make a couple bad decisions to end up on Kadara in the first place and taking care of them isn't free. Nexus certainly isn't helping her do it.
