And I didn't say you did, but you did make a comparison between the two as far as the ending is concerned...DA:I in particular.
My personal feeling is that DA:I was fun to play through once but then lacked any playthrough value. There are various factors that contributed to that for me and any step in the direction of those factors would be a bad idea in my personal opinion. You idea of having a single ending like in DA:I is a step in that direction.
I was not saying that I thought you wanted both games to be the same.
☹️ I would love to talk to you about this in my language. ☹️ My english is not good enough to say everything I want to, sorry .... If a discussion goes "deeper" I'm lost.
But: *Hug* I don't share your opinion. 🐲 I try to explain a bit what I mean:
However: Mass Effect Trilogy have more than one ending. So there is NO "one canon ending", there are a few. And till the breathing chest of Shepard even a "living Shepard" could be canon. If we like the idea or not, don't matter. But it COULD be possible. It's just an objective statement.
And they have done something like that before: Decided between different endings .... at DA2 and DA:I . If it was a good idea or not, if we like it or not, don't matter. They have done it before, they could do it (if they want) again. 🙂
I would love it, you not, it's ok. 🧙

They didn't offer vastly different endings in DAI or DA2....thus the game played out in a specific way. In ME3 they DID offer vastly different choices and if they went back and changed it, that would invalidate some of their players game endings. If you had chosen Destroy ending, and they made Synthesis Cannon, then your choice at the end of ME3 is no longer valid for future games...this isn't what they have EVER done in ME. Mind you they did make the Counselor choice become what they wanted in ME3 by having Udina take over but at least they gave a somewhat understandable reason in game.....which I can't see any way for them to do the same with ending choices.
Only way I could see them being able to pull a Milky Way ME4, would if after all this time they say, " Yes the Indoctrination Theory was correct after all, and the ME3 endings were all a dream of Shepard's mind due to Reaper Indoctrination." Since they passed on this for the Extended Cut, and basically said NO OUR ENDINGS ARE IT, I doubt they are going to backtrack on this. Personally I think at this point and time, there would simply be way to much effort needed to backtrack than to simply continue to expand into Andromeda with an open slate to work with.
