issues with custom firearms

about 2 days ago i was using my infiltrator character (he's my second of 3 characters, but i stopped playing him for a while), and i decided to make that scott a custom blackwidow II with a vintage thermal clip, it went from having a 3 shot clip to a 2 shot one, the cost of using a heatsink over thermal clips. i had been using that weapon for 2 days... just now, i found it has been reduced to one shot per clip. was there a ninja update nerfing my blackwidow, or increasing the shot reducing effect of heatsinks on sniper rifles or just the widow/blackwidow? or is this a nasty little bug? as i had similar issues with heatsinks before, and figured it was either in my head or the result of a balancing patch... though i know of no new patch as of today.

  • I don't know where you were getting two shots from. The heatsink always lowered the magazine count to 1.

Though I suppose with heavy lifting from combat fitness and  and clip size from sniper rifles skill lines might be able to increase it, I haven't checked if the 20% and 25% is enough to increase the shot size with a heatsink equipped.

I never take them because I prefer a full loadout no matter what class I'm playing and I never use the higher magazine sniper rifles to benefit from the higher clip size, so reload usually ends up being more useful.

The default clip size of blackwidow is 3 shots.  With enhancements etc, it can be increased to 4.  Never used vintage heat sinks so no comments on that.  Am currently using Isharay with a bio-converter(minus health for unlimited firing without reloads), works pretty well if you can regen health fast enough.

Have You possibly been using an armor or profile or skills related to clip size? Perhaps You switched to some different armor / profile / skills recently?
