Level 80, bullet Sponge mob's ever fixed
I deleted all my save games where I had leveled past level 80, as the mob's became such a bullet sponge, as to be mostly UN-kill-able, in any make sense scenario of any kind. So I was wondering...

No changes since July.....
All patching stopped then....
I just completed a Insanity play that went up to level 98. They can be a bit of a pain, but honestly, with well crafted gear and the right build they still died incredibly easy. I don't know what the deal was, but I was killing the Ascendants up close and personal with a Biotic character...I usually ran huricane pistol, fire ammo, usually with Annihilation on, and would kill them in a few minutes at most often in less than a minute. I would run into some mobs that seemed much stronger than the previous ones, but generally speaking it was pretty easy. Only issue I had was punting some of them WAY HIGH on a pull throw combo and watching them land WAY out there, bounce ....then get back up to come fight some more. One way I combated this was in areas with "instant kill zones...ie ledges and such" I would punt them off the ledge and say CYA...
Maybe more guncentric characters would have a harder time, but honestly, it wasn't bad on my run. I don't know if I will ever run an insanity run again, but I don't fear above 70s level like I did before that run. I kept hearing horror stories of how you couldn't kill people much above 80 level, yet here I was curbstomping them like trash mobs most of the time. You do a pull throw combo, let the Biotic explosions propagate through those around them, then pick another and do the same, and pick up some explosive canisters and throw them into people let them burn then explode them with biotics...things die pretty quickly. I am just sad my rig can't handle Fraps recording while playing, I would love to post vids of it, but I can't.
Yeah I had Level 80 Plus characters ( removed the save games, I kept the end games, but doubt I ever play them again ), and yes I could make it with characters past Level 80, but I ran out of ammo all the time, and I did not always have the Biotics ready, when needed it, and when rushed or flanked, I was in a world of Hurt.
So I do not find it viable to play New game plus, as I am a completest, and so in a second game i will pass 80.. Normally.
So if nothing has been fixed, I will just start a new character, I do not see Bullet sponges as harder, just annoying. I would rather the enemy was harder to hit, or used Cover better, than just make them have and UN-godly amount of HP.
