I'm on the asteroid, just got done repairing the elevator with the drone, but as soon as I get to the upper floor & run out into the hallway, the game locks up. I've tried restarting the game, restarting my PC, repairing the game itself, repairing the DLC specifically...nothing works. It just keeps crashing every time I run out into that hallway. Is there a fix for this that anyone knows of?
I saw a few other threads on this with no answers on how to fix it. Not reassuring at all.
Try these to get past the point at which you get stuck/crash:
1. Minimize graphics settings.
2. Lower the resolution.
3. Play in "Windowed" (not full-screen) mode.
They've worked for others in similar situations.

All the above workarounds are good for people with less than robust graphics cards or insufficient vram/cpu power.
These workarounds would actually decrease my system's performance.

That's the point, actually.
They are tips for REDUCING the NEED for performance on the part of your hardware in order to overcome what may have be a problematic spot in the game. Your issue may not be resolved by any of them, but they are easy, harmless, and reversible things you can try yourself that others have reported as helpful.
Why would you bother posting just to disparage them?

I know... the workaround posted would help on any system where insufficient system resources was the problem. My system is so far above recommended for the game that its not an issue. I have 8 GB dedicated VRAM, 16 GB system ram, and a quad core processor, for example. I have sent my DXDIAG64 and my MSINFO files to EA, uninstalled and reinstalled origin, mass effect 3, and all the dlcs including leviathan, and nothing is working. The tech support folk at EA are flabbergasted and unable to figure it out.
Now, two weeks after I first encountered the problem, I am pretty frustrated at what I see as a total lack of customer care for a shoddy product. Surely you can see this from my side, just a little bit? For two weeks I've been unable to play my favorite game due to an unsolved bug, that apparently NO ONE is working to solve.
The AHQ is for "player-to-player" technical self-help and game-play discussions. No one here is under any obligation to respond to, much less resolve any issues at all. We're just fellow gamers, doin' the best we can.
That said, your situation is so unusual as to be, perhaps, unique. The game works correctly for the vast majority of (PC) players. Even many of those with problems similar to the one you're describing have been able to get it working using the tips and tricks others have posted here. The fact that your hardware is "so far above recommended" doesn't mean that the offered solutions (lower resolutions, windowed-mode, etc. ) might not have helped.
As for a "... a total lack of customer care for a shoddy product." The millions of happy, satisified players around the world might disagree. And the fact that one particular player is unable to get the product working on one particular PC (out of the infinIte number of combinations of hardware and software that can be built) does not support the assertion either.
I've had this problem as well. I've done everything I can think of short of uninstalling the game(considering doing that now) and just starting with a new save (something I really don't want to do. Despite hundreds of hours, this is the first time I have a save spanning all three games and I really want to complete all of ME3 with all of the DLC). I've completed ME3 multiple times and this DLC multiple times with the same (and my current) computer. The only difference is I uninstalled all the mass effect games about a year ago (limited harddrive space) and have recently reinstalled them. If anyone has any other advice or assistance I would be grateful. I'm tearing my hair out.
I also have the exact same crash, which I've repeated dozens of times now without fail, on two different computers, one running Windows 7 64-bit, the other 32-bit. Both produce the same error even in windowed mode with graphics settings minimized as recommended by some. I can only conclude that this is either not a performance issue but a save-game error (where the game always crashes at that point if certain variables are true), or else possibly tied to ATI graphics hardware, which both computers are running.
