Hi, i bought the mass effect trilogy (PC) , I istalled MASS EFFECT 1 (with origin) but when i press on play,the game doesn't start ! I have a perfectly compatible hardware with this game ,but,i gues, this isn't the problem ! I also clicked on the ME's desktop icon but nothing happen ! On the first time,during the game's updates,there were an error with the DIRECTX ISTALLATION ! PLEASE HELP ME ! I SPENT 50€ and i'd like to play this game !

How to fix this problem: Just start Origin.exe in the folder of origin with Administration permissions. it works for me. Regards

Hey, just tried running launching origin as an Admin and that worked perfectly, running Windows 8 64-Bit, Intel i5 @ 3.33Ghz, 8GB RAM, NVidia 460GTX so just try doing that at first it didn't do anything but then I got a black screen and after a couple of seconds the game loaded 🙂

1. Disable the cloud storage, it blocks the game at the first load.2. Run Origin as amministrator !3. Have fun 😉

My understanding is that Dx10 / Dx11 haven't been totally backward compatible, with several needed items omitted that Dx9 always included. All versions of Direct3D are totally compatible with one another, (they do not not naturally interfere with one another).

I don't know how but i had disconnected my Windows' account, after the login, i clicked On ME, and it works ! Maybe you have to wait until the application of the patch, or steam had updated my AMD drivers in background or i don't know but now it works ! Do not close the topic 'cause that is a serious problem for the ME TRILOGY's owners !

ME1 Is perfectly compatible with Windows 8 and Direct X 11.

I've the same problem: I got a crahs at startup, just when it seems that the syncing has finished.
Operating System:
Windows 7
Processor:
i5 2500K 3.3GHz (4.5GHz@1.320V dvcore)

Memory:
8 Gigabyte Ram
Video Card:
Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WF3
Hard Drive Space:
(external USB Hard Drive) 120 Gigabytes free ...

Hi i have the same problem as you i bought the masseffect trilogy and i have installed mass effect onto my hard drive but the game will not start all it does is launch the cloud data but nothing else, the pc i have is more than capable of running the game so and the game is fully up to date so why wont it work?
