Mass Effect Legendary Edition Not Launching

Hi, I've been playing since launch without a hitch, but yesterday went to load the game and nothing happened... Launched from steam as usual, it pulls up Origin, logs in, refreshes, disappears, and then nothing happens.

Tried:

Alternate launcher

Clean re-install of Graphics drivers.

Clearing the Origin Cache

Verifying the game through steam

Disabling Antivirus/Rainmeter/other overlays (Although these weren't interfering with the game a week ago...)

Any suggestions?

DxDiag.txt attached.

    • Hit Windows key and X.
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key and X again.
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command Prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes. >ENTER.
    • Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

    Then:

      • Restart your system.
      • look at this guide. to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.
      • Scroll down to "How to uninstall the Origin client the hard way"
      • Follow the instructions to the letter.
      • reboot.
      • Download this version of the "OriginSetup.exe"
      • Run the installer as Administrator (Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as an Administrator) > Test.

Ok, lets see if this happens again.

Only suggestion I have in the moment is, if this occurs on your system, that you not force Windows to shut down if Origin is blocking the shut down process.

Let Origin finish its operation, that will only take a few seconds.

Happened again, allowed origin to close before shutting down... very odd.

Sometimes, when you shut down Windows, Origin finishes operations in the background and Windows tells you that "This application is preventing the shutdown" > Origin. If you then tell Windows to shut down anyway it is possible that Origin files get corrupted.

If that don't happens to you I would look at security applications and create exceptions for Origin.
