ME2 Configuration Utility Crash

Whenever I try to run the Mass Effect 2 configuration utility, it crashes. This happens with Mass Effect 1 and 2, and Dragon Age Origins and DA2. I have run the new patch, run it as administrator, a...

    To import your ME1 save games to ME2 go to your ME2 "Save" folder (under "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\" and create a folder with the name "ME1". (without the quotes) inside the "Save" folder.

    Then copy (not relocate) your ME1 save games ("Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save") into that folder. > Now ME2 should "see" your ME1 character.

    Hi, yes I've tried that, it tells me there are no recognized ME1 saves. I'm not sure why. And that still won't help me change any settings since I can only do that through the config utility.

      The workaround for the save games I posted above is exactly that what the config utility does, just manually executed.

      There are also no settings that you can only change in the utility, you can also change all the settings in game.

      You can try this to get the utility to work:

      Open the msconfig tool (press the windows key and R at the same time > Typ or copy and past "msconfig" (without the quotes) in the new window > ENTER) > under "Start" click on  "Advanced Option" > limited the machine to 4 cores > OK > OK > reboot > test.
