mp:why are most of the guns and powers so weak!?

I made a post on this last week.. I agree that most weapons are pea shooters and only a few characters that I've personally used seem viable for gold. I miss the whole -200% cooldown and random/random exp and credit bonuses.. there's more emphasis on combos but from what I've seen a lot of powers just don't hit hard enough with a power build, me3 was an almost flawless multiplayer so they should that some try to go back to their roots.
