Origin In Game Overlay not working with Mass Effect 3

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Origin client; I've tried swapping from windowed to fullscreen mode; I've tried clearing Origin's cache; I've ensured I'm not running any other overlay programs (Fraps etc); I've burned sacrifices to capricious gods.

Nothing is bringing the overlay back. Anyone have a solution to this?
