My hunch of a timeline 10 years ahead would give time for the siblings to ... Alecfy. I mean, get mature, firm and more optimized with SAM. It also helps evolving some personal issues among your squad mates, perhaps making Liam die due a severe case of angara syphilis.
Wouldn't Liam need to get a date first?
One of the reasons why I think the next ME game will not be about the Ryders is because Ryder is a Pathfinder and why open up the Heleus cluster as our new surroundings to leave it again?
The Kett arc if there will be on will be more of a military mission than a discovery mission. The only way that Ryder, in my view, could be a logical continuation is if she/he stops being a Pathfinder, in which case it'd have to be a pretty clear reason after the heroics in the heleus cluster.
So not saying it's impossible but I just wonder how it makes sense to still be pathfinding in part 2 in the same Heleus cluster. Fighting over more planets in a different area with the Kett again as part of getting closer to the Kett Empire seems a bit thin as well and would have a rather been-there, done-that feel.

Given the amount of mentions of lost Angaran colonies and such in ME:A, I expect we'll be pathfinding around looking for them, as well as other planets with vaults, garden worlds like Aya (which was not on the habitable worlds list), Kett bases, etc., so I suspect there is still a lot of things to Pathfind out in the Scourge.
Plus Tann may just fire Ryder.

i think navigating through the scourge would offer enough dangerous exploration opportunities to fulfill a pathfinder's need for adventure. if not, you could always militarize some pathfinder teams, basically turning them into the military units that use the same name currently. iirc, pathfinders were used to covertly secure drop-zones for paratroopers, so they could land and assemble without being harassed by hostiles, something that was picked up during the second world war. i could see ryder's team being used in such a role in an all out war with the kett empire.

Well, I am sure there is still some exploring to do and that can be cool for dlc but for a part 2, it'd just be more of the same and not very exciting.
One notable difference is that the original story was very story driven. ME:A has story but a lot of what you do is reactivating remtech to make planets liveable. I think it'd be a mistake to make that a core element again for the next ME game as it will get boring quickly then.
Tann firing Ryder would have to be for a really good reason. It's not like Ryder's been a bad thing for Tann as she/he made the initiative work where it almost fell on it's rear end.
Also the discovery and settlement on Meridian sort of completes the storyline as is as far as the Pathfinding is concerned for me.
All I'm saying is that nothing's impossible but if the Ryder story continues in a part 2, then it'd better have a good reason and not be pretty much a repeat of what we've done here already. I mean, would people really want another round of Remtech planet revivals as the next game?
