No, I do not use any mods, never did and probably never will (unless it's a graphics mod, in that case I might think about it at some point)
And I just freshly installed the game again after not playing it for nearly 2 years, so the files should be in perfect condition.
And I don't have a save file from before the issue since it already began in the introduction mission (the reaper invasion of earth) so I'd have to restart the entire playthrough, which I don't want to do since I've already played 8 hours in this playthrough
I have to admit I wasn't expecting an answer here so soon, even if it probably won't help me, it's still nice to see that people care.
And I do want to mention that the game no longer resets all my skillpoints, which has been the case since I changed one of my powers in the med bay. I believe I was using carnage before, but after switching it out for a different power it no longer resets my points (I'm not sure which power it actually was, since it's currently 4 in the morning for me and I'm typing this on my phone, so I can't check, but I am pretty sure it was carnage) although it didn't bring back my lost skill points
