PS3, stuck at Checking downloadable content

Yeah, I know this has been asked before, but none of the solutions work for me. 

My game froze while saving a game. Not sure how much that matters... and I was playing the Omega DLC at the time. 

When I restarted my PS3, it cot stuck at the Checking downloadable content screen.

I tried restarting the game and the system. I even deleted ALL the DLCs and reinstalled them. No good. 

I can start the game when not connected to the internet, but then there's no Resume option, and the only saved games it sees are the autosave from when I created the character. 

Anyone have any ideas?... please?...
