Set the resolution of the game to your Monitors native resolution. (1280 x 1024)
Do you have a two Monitor setup? If so disconnect the second monitor.
If that don't helps, make sure the game is closed > delete the "Config" folder under "<drive>:\Dokumente\BioWare\Mass Effect" > Start the game > test.
