@mikewoo6425235 So there are a few things you can try to see if that is the case. Here are some steps that you can go through to clean up the registry. I would uninstall the game first though.

Optional Registry clean-up

  • install CCleaner (it's free) from here
  • Run Registry cleaner
  • Click review selected issues
  • Do you want to back up? No
  • Click Fix all selected issues

Run the System File Checker tool - You can run the checker for Windows and your hard drive. I always do both.

I also delete the license for the game

  • Make sure the EA app is closed.
  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
  • Delete all files in the license folder
  • Reboot the PC and test

    Okay, while still in clean boot mode I've done the following:

    Made sure me1 was not running

    Uninstalled me1

    Installed and ran ccleaner

    Used ccleaner's registry cleaner to fix issues

    Used an elevated command prompt to run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    Used an elevated command prompt to run sfc /scannow

    sfc said it found corrupted files and repaired them.

    Went to "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" and deleted all files in the License folder

    Restarted

    Launched the EA app

    Installed me1. Now for the moment of truth...

    Launched me1

    Don't know why sometimes this forum won't allow me to edit my own posts. Anyway...

    Restarted in normal mode

    Launched me1, and...

    Nothing happened. No running me1, no 'failed to launch game' error, just nothing.

    @mikewoo6425235 Thank you for all the steps listed that helped narrow it down a lot more than it didn't work!

    So to clarify cause it's all earlry and there needs to be more ☕ it launched in clean boot but on the normal log in it did not again?
