Re: Recover the Arks Quest - Locked out? (Spoilers)

I think you can have all three arks,  and Dunn still dies.  I think you need all three Pathfinders to avoid her death.  Also,  don't head to Meridian unless you have worn out any other quest of any importance.  A number of quests influence who turns up to help in that battle.

The Asari ark is tied to Cora's personal quest.  You'll be tracking transponders then waiting on Cora to translate,  then heading out there on her personal mission.  Either maintain Cora's hero as Pathfinder,  or anoint the young Asari who helps you free the ark.

The Salarian ark is tied to the main plot.  Either save the pathfinder,  or make sure she has a successor,  the Salarian captain I think.

The Turin ark seems the most optional,  and then make sure Avitus accepts the job of pathfinder.

Dunn lived in my first playthrough.

You're right, you need all 3 pathfinders, not all 3 arks.. but i'm still locked out from getting the third Ark/Pathfinder 😛

a lot of people don't understand that you need to pass time for cora to find the asari ark. if you talked to her and done everything needed to complete her quest and its still on hold 1 of 2 things needs to be done. 1 do any main story or side mission that advances time. like a loyalty mission. just going from the tempest to nexus doesn't advance time. nor does going to a planet and back into space. 2 you need to read an email from her. go back and read everything make sure you didn't miss it.

i have never had an issue finding the arks so i am so lost to the reason why anyone would be unable to find them.

Yes, I get the concept of how it works lol..

What i'm saying is, has my story line advanced to a point, where the number of pathfinders found is now locked in until the Archon is killed.

    so:

    1) I can't do any main story, I do the main story, I complete the game, and Dunn is dead..again lol..and I have done countless side quests, probably around 5 hours worth of gameplay since getting onto this stage of the loyalty mission.

    2) No new emails, no new conversation options.

My issue is not finding the ark, I know how it works, I know how to find it. I have found it on previous play throughs. My issue is, I believe I have got to a point in the game (the final mission) where it seems I can now not find the ark, until I have completed this mission.  So basically,

I started the Journey to Meridian mission with the Turian, and Solarian pathfinders found - as a result, I'm suggesting this starts the final mission , locking in the number of pathfinders found, and thus the fate of Dunn. Therefore, it seems I can now not progress Cora's loyalty mission, and can not find the final pathfinder now, until I complete the final priority op.

    This may well be.

Because you have to wait with missions on "hold"  for the passage of time,  which is only marked by the completion of other quests.  If you have no other related quests to do,   time doesn't pass,  so you can't complete.

I think I may have avoided this by wearing all my quests out every time I unlocked the next step of the main story. I don't address those until I can't work on any other side quest, either by resolving them,  or advancing them until they are on hold.

The Other Tasks category seems to be the exception . . . They are non critical, thankfully.... because they are numerous  and often buggy.
