Can someone explain why this solution failed?! is it a bad programming of the game or my lack of english understanding of the text?! this is not the only one i make and fail, i have been trying to make multiple solutions like this and they keep failing even though there's no repetition in any row or column

Those highlighted shapes are the shapes outlined by those thick blue lines (the 2 by 2 square in your case). Sometimes you get weird shapes consisting of 5 spots.

There must be
4 different symbols in a column-- 👍
4 different in a row-- 👍
4 different in each of those smaller 2x2 blocks-- condition not met

I was only looking at the red symbols and ignored the rest, but now I see you messed up the whole thingy. (haven't touched the game for a while). But if the red symbols are fixed, then for example the symbol consisting of two lines should be next to the red symbol in the upper left square.

Yup, must have all four different symbols in each of the 2x2 subsections.

Thats why im using decryption keys.
First i found it fun decrypt them manually then i just stopped caring. In the first half-1 hr in the game i have no problem doing it, then my brain slowly starts to decay and if i meet a chest or console that needs to be decrypted i just use the key.

That's what they are there for (decryptions keys). Use them, if you cannot be bothered with the puzzles.
If you are familiar with sudoko though, these are stupid easy in comparison. Only 4 (sometimes 5) symbols in 4x4 grid...Sudoku is 9 symbols (numbers typically) in a 9x9 grid.

It's basically Sudoku but with symbols instead of numbers. They're pretty easy for the most part and I wish they had another use for the decryption keys. They just sit in my inventory really.

Originally you could sell them for quite a bit... 1.05 made them cheap so people could solve puzzles with them. They're still worth something if you sell them along with scrap.

@RoastPotato26 I also groaned at it at first, but I made it a personal challenge not to use decryption keys at all X)
At first I thought it was gonna be a "once... then never again!" thing, but over time, I ended up liking this puzzle 🙂
