This was an unexpectedly difficult decision for me, I actually had to stop playing the game and mull it over for like an hour, and even then, I wasn't happy with having to decide.

I went with Raeka, figuring one of the original pathfinders who was also technically minded would end up being far more critically important than the Krogan scouts. However, five more krogans might represent a significant amount of genetic diversity to the already tiny amount of krogans that came to Andromeda, especially with the genophage looming in their background

This wasn't nearly as hard, Sarissa wasn't the Asari's original pathfinder, she made a difficult choice, I don't begrudge her that. But I felt she lacked the dreamer quality that Alec talked about for a pathfinder. She was too much the huntress, so I suggested the role of pathfinder go to someone else.
