could also be cool to have the AVP system tied into this. have it so that when you unlock stasis pods those people actually show up on the planet and start doing their thing.
Cool, but not necessarily non-trivial. And how does the more inventory space work? You have a storehouse that appears on one of your colonized planets?
not necessarily a storehouse but maybe a inventory manager or Sherpa 🤔. the idea would be more cryopods=more people=more buildings=bigger more lively outpost.

The tricky part is that *technically* you only have to create one outpost, Prodromos. All of the others are technically optional.
