Task: The Watchers Problem

if that's the mission i think it is, with the kett observation posts around the colony? you just have to go hunting for the pesky things.

really? that's not what i remember... though my memory has been far from perfect these last few years.

it's just that i recall running into that kett base by accident in my first PT, cleared it out easily enough. though i can't recall if i finished that quest first... don't think i did. but i did complete it. 

I finished this quest after the kett base. I found the watcher stuff at the kett camps on the ridgline around Prodromos, including the camp on the road up to the ridge from Prodromos to the Kett base. This quest was driving me crazy until I went back to that one

 You can go back to the same location to finally get the navpoint but on 3 games, never once was I able to clear it from my journal. If it is the one I'm thinking of, SAM will say initializing or something and your expecting him to say stay in the area or more Kett to arrive but nope, that's it. Or it could be the one that you have to enter a sealed room. Even after, turning off whatever it was, nothing happened there either. 

I think there are about 4 tasks that can not be completed. I have 2 games at 99%. 

thanks for the replies...another question if i may ask about this mission and another one (Task: Ghost Of  A Promise) which seems to be another mission where the location of the datapads are random. What would be the ideal time to complete these? I am assuming that i would do them before i do the vault on eos and place the outpost. And if the locations are random do i have the leave the planet and land again or can i just fast travel from forward station to forward station?

Half of Eos is locked until after you go to Aya for the first time. I think watchers and ghost of a promise both use the extra area. I don't know about fast traveling or leaving the planet, neither helped me with watchers, I still had to go to the last camp. It may be possible to get all the items without leaving or fast travelling, I know it worked like that for me on Voeld with similar quests.

thanks fudgietroll. if i need the specail area in the vault then i will skip those two tasks and wait till i do another playthrough
