The game doesn't autosave properly after completing Arrival

When I finish the Arrival DLC, the game just doesn't seem to autosave properly, no matter how many times I repeat the final battle. In addition, the option to reset the Assignment still remains on the load menu after I've regained control of Shepard on the Normandy. This is mentioned on the Mass Effect Wiki article with the following note:

Note:  In some cases the autosave function does not work and will cause you to repeat the final battle and conversation with Hackett. This can also lead to alternate dialogue in Mass Effect 3 which implies you never played Arrival.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, it said that it's implied that I never played arrival if I import the game into Mass Effect 3, does this mean that that the Alliance's 103rd Marine Division war asset will will still lose 50 points if I import my game to Mass Effect 3? Is their anything that can be done to fix this? I'm playing the Mass Effect Trilogy version downloaded from Origin, and I haven't done the suicide mission yet.
