The Lag. Is it me or is it the server?

So the past few weeks I've been having some latency issues. At the start of the match its always perfect but it changes depending on how many enemies are on screen. For example, facing Geth on wave 10 Gold meant latency of almost a second! Now, I have really good internet (30 Mbps/3Mbps), and this is the only game I lag on.

Not to mention I disconnected while duoing Reapers on Glacier on wave 9....

I'm seriously running extremely low on equipment simply because of this, is anyone else having this issue?

No, this is the general Mass Effect 3 forum for all three platforms it originally came out (PS3, PC and Xbox). Only the Wii U has a separate forum.

The lag is depending on the host you are playing with, since you're not playing on EA servers. So, if your host comes from a whole different country or continent you get lag. Only thing to remedy this is switch hosts or host yourself.

There are generally a number of complaints about disconnects though they are not always caused by the same thing.

When it lags, are you the host?

How is your video card?  It sounds like your issues crop up more when more is going on in later waves, which indicates a low resource or bottleneck.  That could be anything from Video card, CPU, RAM, BUS, Network, Hard Disk/Page File, etc...

  • Isn't this the 360 forum? I have an Xbox 360 Arcade. And no, this is latency, meaning theres a significant time between pressing a button and the action. And I'm never the host when it happens. This only happens off-host.

  • High odds you're connecting to someone else who has a poor connection. Try hosting games yourself. :D

Reset your router before starting ME 3 and defrag your drive. Could be an load issue due to not defragging. Turn off indexing within windows and superfetch hard disk thrashing can slow games down. Google how to do it.

You go to run box in srart menu type in msconfig and go to services tab.

As for Windows 8 I dont have that only 7. As for X box dont have one.
