Uh... Wrex is alive in Mass Effect 2, even though I killed him in ME1
Am I missing something, this just bummed me out. I imported my save from ME1 too..

Seems like an import bug. You can open your save file using Gibbed's ME3 Save Editor and see which plot flags are checked incorrectly.
