Unable to run ME Andromeda and Dragon Age 3

Hi,

I have a new computer since several games and have reinstalled the EA app and all my EA games: i'm able to launch all tge games exccept Mass Effect Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition (new games work fine and oldest ones also (Dragon Age 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1, 2 &3): i tried a lot of things as reinstall/repair, reboot computer, clar cache, run as admin, in compatibility mode, full screen optimization disabled, tried from a new windows user, check in the firewall that these games are allowed...

So i don't know what to do now to make these games work.. so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I attach the DxDiag.ttx file.

Thanks for yoyr help.

Regards,

@holger1405 : if i use to do software updates regularly, i never did a BIOS update.. so i have followed your suggestion and did the update (the BIOS date was as of 2023 july): it didn't change anything for the 2 problematic games...

Just for fun, I will try to come back to the 55x performance core ratio and see if the 2 other games crash again.

And for the PC shop suggestion. i will see how it's going on for the future new games: i have a lot of games (recent and old) whick work fine/without any issue. If the problem becomes more common with other games, i will follow this suggestion.

Finally: i just want to thank you again for ALL your time, help and patience: even if the problem is not solved, i have really appreciated your help ! Knowing that you are not an EA employee and you are not paid for this help, it's more awesome ! 🙂

Best wishes and thank again ! 🙂

The BIOS update was more to ensure that your CPU is not degenerating (more?).

I hope you get it sorted.

  • Hi holger1405 : i come back again on this post just to let you know that i have finally been able to solve my problem for my 2 problematic games: it was a combination of 2 things that seems to solve the problem: 1) uninstall with Revo uninstaller (which was the tool you asked me to use to uninstall my graphic card drivers) and 2) re-install on my C: drive instead of the other drive i use for my games: in the past, i tried to directly reinstall on the C: (without uninstalling the one on the D:) and i tried classic uninstall.. without success... but this combination did the trick !

EA app, not the driver, there are other tools for the driver.
Good that you got it working. 👍
