why cant we take our story line from mass effect 1,2,3 into mass effect 4
why cant we take our story line from mass effect 1,2,3 into mass effect 4 or have it to where you can either continue shephard's story or have it as a new game?????

Shepard's story is over. The endings made that clear. Plus the endings left the galaxy in one of three very different states. This is why they are leaving the Milky Way galaxy for Andromeda, to avoid making one of the endings canon.
