Opponent Disconnects, I Get A Loss...?

I have been playing quick match and several time when I have the lead my opponent quits and I get the loss?

I know many have this issue with Madden 25 , This is really taking the fun out of any online game play!

Last game ahead by 10 player disconnects and I get the loss, I assume this has something to do with one

player being the host as when I am the home team and the game is disconnected by my peer I get the loss

and I notice many quick match players want to be the home or visitor not sure so they can just quit and get

the win...

Can anything be done about this???

If you suspect a player may be playing unfairly you can use the steps detailed at the following link to report them. Please do not name any player you suspect may be cheating, this is called "Name and Shaming" and is not allowed on Answer HQ.

It's just that this game is trash. This happens to me all the time. I will have a big lead, opponent quits and I get a loss. It's nothing that the opponent is doing, cause I have had it happen against people who are playing their first game, so they lost likely don't know anything about cheating. I've also had kids freeze the game after a made basket. This game is terrible for having such build up for 4 years.
