Tom,
I am also in this situation. I have created a case and I am not getting any support.
It is a server side issue on EA's end
And I keep getting the same default email response to perform the troubleshooting steps (which I have done)
I am fed up, i may request a refund if nobody listens to me by the weekend

Hello. I am using Iphone 6s and logging in the game with gmail account. I am having this problem. Please help. Tried all those solution, none worked.

Which iOS version are you running? Are you connected with Game Center? Are you able to login with another account?
