NBA Live: Resource Download Error

I played this game a lot last year around this time. Haven't played since like October 2019. Updated it this week to play it, and it's forcing me to go through the objective tutorials. I tap "claim & continue" on all these rewards from last season. After going through 6 "claim & continue" rewards, I get the "Resource Download Error". Below is some information I'm sure I'll be asked:

Galaxy Note 9, fully updated to Android Pie

2.4ghz WiFi Connection at around 50 mbs download speed (obviously I have a stable WiFi connection if this is the only WiFi oriented application that's not working)

NBA Live is fully updated

Now, below is what I've already tried:

Uninstalled and reinstalled game

Force stopped the application and restarted the application

Restarted my phone

Cleared the game's cache

Any ideas? Restarting my WiFi would be pointless as everything else works (PS4 works, laptops work, all other WiFi games on my phone works).

I have included screenshots of me clicking through the rewards that it forced upon me every time I launch the game, and then the error that occurs right afterwards.

For everyone with the resource error problem:
for me, the solution was logout of the google play games, reboot my phone, try to login in my account and after this, the game start to work. I dont know why, but i didn't release that the "level" of my google play account wasn't "popping". after all, the game is wprking.

I have same problem with the NBA Live resource download error and i tried everything i could but it won’t work.
I dont know what to do and i cant play nba anymore, if someone know hiw to fix this kind of problem please tell me.
I hope EA notice this because NBA Live game have so many technical problems.
Btw, i’m using IOS device so i think this problem not only occur to Android but both.

Right. Do they look at these forums? I literally can't play. Spent a good amount of time and money into this last year and I'm not trying to restart.

Same problem different experience
updated the game and when im trying to login to my account (which is by facebook) it gives me that “resource download error” after deleting game and trying as a “new user” it logins no problem But all the progress is lost.

I wasn't able to catch your post before I left for the weekend on Friday. Have you tried rebooting your network to see if that fixes this? I've seen this message get fixed after toggling WiFi off/on or switching to a different WiFi channel if your router has more than 1.

If you linked up your account to Facebook in the past, try visiting Facebook and go to Settings>Apps. Remove NBA Live Mobile from there and then try to sync it back up next time you load up NBA Live Mobile.

I can connect to any account but when i connect too my facebook i get this message saying i have too connect to internet but im connected i can play the game with my gust account but not with my facebook someone help please

I have the same problem. I was on Ger. 98 wen i stop playing because of personal problems. But the past week i've downloaded the game again and, when i try to load my account i see the same error message. But, i can see in te background that my account was loaded, i just cannot play because of the message on screen. If i start a new game i can play, but my old account doesnt load... ☹️

@EA_Blueberry I don't see how rebooting my network would help; my WiFi also only has 1 channel. As noted in my original post, everything else on my network is functioning through WiFi. Other games on my phone that work off the same WiFi network, work without issues. It's only NBA Live. I'll try this anyways once I'm not working remotely later today. I also tried doing it through my phone data network (AT&T), same error.

If you notice my screenshots, I get to the home page but I am forced to click "claim and continue" and it pops up with the error after 5-6 taps everytime. I feel like it's a bit different that most "resource download errors"

Already tried to rebooting wifi but nothing happen and still error. Re-install the game is not the answer too. Btw, after re-install you can play the game with another random account/guest that means you can play the game if you make a new account which means pretty awful. Please fix this problem as soon as possible if you dont want to lose many players. I will not try to make a new one and start it all over again from the beginning, it’s better to play another basketball game.

Do you three have your game synced up to Facebook? We've seen players experience some FB syncing issues lately and I recommend trying these steps to see if it helps:

Go to your Facebook app as if you're just going to browse your Facebook feed>Settings>Apps>Remove NBA Live Mobile

Sign out of Facebook

Go to NBA Live Mobile and Facebook under your phone's app settings and force stop those

Launch NBA Live Mobile and attempt to sign in using Facebook
