This problem has been in this game serie for a long time. Sometimes for some reason? defenders playing opposite positions. RD is LD and RD is LD.
In this video i didnt even touch defenders on this attack so it was game who switched their positions and this wasnt only a one attack in the game. If it happens only once then i somehow understand that but when they play multiple attacks at wrong positions it is really frustrating because you cant use onetimers.

They've been doing this for years; Your positioning needs to be absolutely pixel perfect according to their scripts for them to play 'properly" so you'll just need to play around it.
Ya this is hardly a new problem. I will sometimes bail out of games if I am going to be forced to play with an AI dman. It's painful.
