AI hits until they take a penalty?

Here we are again this year and the same buggy AI...they go for a hit on someone and end up hitting them 3-4 more times until they get a penalty...is this a way EA tries to balance the game? Are they aware? Is it only me?

@xXTailsx We are having the same issue were we play great and do our best to stay out of the box only for the bot take a crucial penalty
