In clip 2 we don't have to say that there is a bubble but there is something definitely wrong there. My hit was perfectly lined up and all he did to avoid it was go back hand and lose momentum. You don't really get to aim your hits as it kind of auto directs you so something there made me miss. It was right down the boards play and he didn't change directions so that was a easy hit. There just seems to be consistent issues with low momentum players protecting the puck and people trying to hit them. I'm not saying they need to get laid out (although in this particular clip they probably should of been) it just needs to have some affect on the player with the puck. I know they player missed but the main issue is what caused the player to miss.
In clip 3 I see what your talking about but when the AI holds out the stick in 23 that's going to slow them down. I could see that being a good option closer to the net but not that close to the blue line. The best thing to do would of been to wait a little longer and skate back.
Clip 4 makes more sense the way you broke it down. Still think he shouldn't of held his stick out but it was overall a hard situation to defend.

Even if you line the hit up perfectly and get all body, doesn't mean that you won't just slide off of the guy.

Here's another example of being perfectly lined up but making zero difference on the puck carrier. Not enough momentum and speed apparently despite having truculence.
