Yes EA has established this narrative that you are "the next Superstar"..... So what? ignore that and just "Be a Pro". what if you decide to play at superstar level, and hey... You can't.. you just can't. it is to fast, to much skill... you go down. you go over seas to Europe. you play out your career with Cardiff... and you win chips there.. is that not just as valid a narrative? I say Lets earn it... how cool would it be to finally get an offer with an NHL club in year 4 or 5, or 9.... that is the intriguing narrative that they should implement! My opinion
@CreemoreTorch Also, why ignore the storyline. It adds a lot of flavor. Its not doing it well, but it could, if they spent money to develop it.
Its funny. When they gave us all these things in early editions SO MANY people complained it sucked not making it to the first line sooner. Now, in 21 they gave us the speed pass and a whole new, much smaller group, isn't happy with it. What should the do? * off 100 to give the 10 or 15 people post and griping here what they want? Or give the 1000's that loved the mode in 21 the same game?
The answer is compromise and adapt, but they aren't doing that. They are sticking with their market research that says more people wanna Be A Star, so ask them to change the name and soldier on.
Oh, and please start complaining about the bugs, so they might fix those.
