All they had to do was take incentive/ aggressiveness away. Let them play positionally well. Add a small perimeter for AI (and tie to player stats?), if opponent comes inside this perimeter AI will engage normally until puck is played away. This would promote passing, but there’s still room on ice to dipsydoodleL2.

And that's just it; the streamers who want to LT all day don't want any responsibility in actually moving the puck. They want to possess the puck with one skater, attempting to bait their opponents in to making the SLIGHTEST misstep on D so that the incapable A.I. leaves their wingers open for a one-timer.
What fascinates me about the LTers who demanded muting the A.I. because it means "you're letting the CPU do all the work" is that they don't recognize that the CPU is literally parking those wingers in prime positon FOR THEM. And they don't see the hypocrisy in that.

At least blue accidentally bumped in to him and the goalie gave minimal effort to slide over - if this was EASHL, the defender would have dove out of the way and the G would have been glued to the post
